We produce natural sponges for personal care and crafts as well as corals for reforestation using exclusively organic and sustainable production methods.
By purchasing our fair trade products you can support sustainable cultivation methods in the coastal regions in Zanzibar.
The aquafarming methods applied do no harm to the natural sponge or coral populations. We pay great attention and guarantee that natural habitats, especially coral reefs are not damaged.
The fast-growing market for aquaria unfortunately leads to increased illegal poaching. Through cultivation of our own coral, we can reduce the pressure on natural coral reefs. In addition, we are able to generate new jobs. Our corals are used in the regrowth of damaged reefs and we invest in appropriate expertise on site.
The coral farms are managed independently by the local population after completion of initial training.
